What are Pokémon super proxy cards?

A Pokémon proxy is an unofficial card used as a stand-in, display piece or collector-art reproduction. Some sellers use the phrase “super proxy” for detailed reproductions with special attention to artwork, print presentation and foil-style effects. It is an informal term, not an independent certification or official Pokémon product category.

Ghost Grails products are not authentic Pokémon TCG cards. They are not manufactured, licensed or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc. or GAME FREAK. They are not intended for official tournament play or resale as originals.

How to choose a Pokémon proxy card

1. Find the exact design, set and card number

Many Pokémon have multiple iconic illustrations across different eras. Searching by name alone can bring up the wrong card. Compare the Pokémon name with its set and printed collector number before choosing. For example, Rayquaza ex 97/97 and Charizard ex 105/112 each refer to specific EX-era designs.

2. Look closely at card images

Artwork, card borders, alignment and lettering contribute to the visual impression. Reflective effects can photograph differently depending on lighting. A styled product image is not proof of card thickness, stock composition or exact holo performance. Use product details to confirm what you're purchasing, and see our guide to product photography versus mockups.

3. Check authenticity disclosures

A trustworthy listing clearly states whether the item is authentic, custom or an unofficial reproduction. Ghost Grails labels its proxy cards as unofficial. If you need a genuine original for professional grading, investment valuation or competitive official play, buy an independently authenticated original from an appropriate seller instead.

4. Plan for preparation and delivery

Some Ghost Grails cards are made to order. This means production or preparation may happen after a purchase and can add time before dispatch. Once prepared, orders are packaged for shipping. See our shipping and production information for a straightforward explanation.

Pokémon proxy card FAQs

Where can I buy unofficial Pokémon super proxy cards?

Ghost Grails offers a curated online catalogue of unofficial Pokémon super proxy cards for collecting and display. Shop by Pokémon, set era or Japanese design, and read the product description to confirm which card design is represented.

Are Ghost Grails cards real Pokémon cards?

No. Every Ghost Grails super proxy is an unofficial reproduction, not an authentic Pokémon TCG card. Its purpose is personal display and collecting. The brand is independent and not officially affiliated with Pokémon or Nintendo.

Do the cards have the same stock and holographic finish as genuine cards?

We do not claim that reproductions are identical to genuine cards in material, holo pattern, thickness or tactile feel. Appearance can vary by design, printing and lighting. Consult each listing for available details and avoid treating styled imagery as a manufacturing guarantee.

Can I use proxy cards in official Pokémon tournaments?

These unofficial reproductions are not intended for official sanctioned tournament play. Ask any casual-play group about its house rules before bringing proxies.

Why are some proxy cards made to order?

Some designs require preparation after purchase rather than shipping from ready-to-send stock. This can affect dispatch timing. Our production and shipping guide explains what to expect before ordering.

How should I store a proxy card for display?

Handle it by its edges, protect it in a clean sleeve, keep it away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity, and use a suitable rigid holder if you want additional support. See our sleeving guide and display ideas.
