Canadian buyers should check the listed currency, shipping threshold, taxes, delivery route and any duties or fees for international parcels. Product availability and fulfillment timing also matter.
Check the total price in Canadian dollars
A displayed price may be in CAD or converted from another currency depending on the store. Confirm the checkout currency before payment. Shipping promotions can depend on order subtotal and location, so review the actual checkout rather than assuming a banner applies to every cart. Applicable sales taxes can also affect the final total.
Domestic and international delivery differ
A parcel shipping from within Canada may face different transit conditions from one arriving from abroad. International packages can involve customs processing and potential duties or taxes depending on origin, classification and current rules. Do not rely on generic promises about duty-free delivery. Check the merchant's shipping and return terms.
Know whether the card is ready to ship
If the item is made to order, preparation happens before carrier transit. Confirm whether the product photo represents the actual physical item and what packaging is used. For gifts, allow for uncertainty and avoid relying on a last-minute delivery assumption.
Collector's next step
At checkout, verify currency, item count, shipping fees, taxes, destination, estimated dispatch and contact information. Save your order confirmation and follow up promptly if the details do not match expectations.
Does a flat $6 shipping rate cover taxes or customs charges?
No. The stated $6 shipping charge is separate from applicable taxes, possible import duties, customs processing or other fees. Always review the total in checkout for your destination and currency before paying.
